GOLDFEST 2024 - Dog Show

The Dog Show will take place 11.15 -11.45 in the small lower playground at the Goldfield Road entrance. Full details will be shared upon sign-up.    

 We have 4 fabulous classes to choose from with our judges also awarding an overall winner for our grand prize in the ‘Judges Choice’ class! Enter as many classes as you like (max 8 dogs per class) from the following: 

• Fastest Sitter 
• Goldfield’s Got Talent - Best Trick 
• Waggiest Tail  
• Best Biscuit Catcher 

Every dog entered will receive a certificate, a doggy bag of treats PLUS a free photo on site from our friends at Shutterdog  Pet Portraits.

Best in each class will receive the above, a winners’ rosette PLUS a £40 voucher for services at Hanne Grice Pet Training & Behaviour.  

Overall winner of Judges Choice will win all of the above PLUS a full pet portrait photo shoot with Shutterdog and a £20 voucher off services at Chiltern  Groomers. 

 All dogs must be pre-registered to take part in the Dog Show – sorry, no walk-ups.

Entry to the Dog Show costs £5 per dog per class.

 We hate to sound strict but the following Ts & Cs are for the comfort and safety of all dogs and humans whilst on site at Goldfest. Please make sure you read them in full before registering for the Dog Show.  

• Spaces are limited to 8 dogs per class so only pre-registered pups can take part in the Goldfest Dog Show. Sorry, no walk-ups.  
• Only dogs taking part in the Goldfest Dog Show are permitted on site.  
• For the comfort of the children at the fair and due to the size of the site we ask that all dogs vacate the school grounds by 12.30pm. 
• Owners are responsible for picking up dog mess on school grounds. Not doing so may result in you being asked to leave the premises. Bins will be provided.  
• All dogs must be on lead at all times throughout the show and whilst on school grounds.  
• Dogs must be handled by an adult throughout the show and whilst on the school grounds. 1 child per dog is permitted to accompany the adult throughout the show.  
• Dogs are the sole responsibility of their owners at all times whilst on the school grounds. Neither Goldfield Infants’ & Nursery School nor Friends of Goldfield Infants’ & Nursery School accept liability for any injury or loss during Goldfest.  
• We ask that only dogs that are reliably behaved and comfortable around crowds, children and other dogs attend the Dog Show.  
• The Dog Show is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled if the weather is wet or if the temperature exceeds 23 degrees. Any show cancellations will be announced via our Facebook and Instagram pages as well as via email or text to pre-registered participants.     
• In the event that the Dog Show is cancelled all pre-registered participants will be entered into a draw for the show prizes outlined on our main information page. There will be no cash refunds.  
• The Dog Show may be photographed with images shared on our social media accounts. If you do not want your pictures taken or shared on social media, please indicate when registering.
